One of the things I have always struggled with is why anyone would let the dishes ‘soak.’ To me it’s simply an excuse to delay the inevitable: cleaning the dishes and putting them away.
We often use this same approach in many different areas of life. We delay paying bills, delay having crucial conversations or even delay in asking for what we REALLY want. In an economy like this, it’s not the guys who beat-around-the-bush who are going to keep companies or investment opportunities moving forward. No. The persons most likely to succeed are those who ask for what they want, evaluate opportunities rationally and execute on the possible, not the probable. It’s about leadership and initiative.
If you’re letting the dishes soak, suck it up and get it done.
