Workstreamer Secures Funding

workstreamer funding

Regular readers of this blog know that I have been feverishly working on my own startup, Workstreamer, for about the last 12 months.

I am excited to announce that we have taken seed investment from one of the leading venture capital firms, Austin Ventures. My business partner Ben and I feel very fortunate to have secured funding from such a great firm and despite the tough economic/fundraising conditions. We think it’s a real testament to our vision, current product — and most importantly — the team we’ve put together. Workstreamer is the first early stage deal Austin Ventures has done with a New York based startup.

For those who have been following Workstreamer’s progress, we have spent the past many months in semi-stealth, speaking to potential customers, researching and soliciting tons of feedback on a prototype, that while admittedly ugly, has provided us with critical insights and data on functionality and usability. Our mantra has truly been: Release early, release often (but among the right users). I look forward to documenting our progress on this blog and I will continue to lay out our hypothesis and vision for how the world of work is changing.
